Position Summary

The Service Writer/Triage Tech collaborates daily with Shop team, customers, and vendors to achieve results.  Primary areas of responsibility include:

 

Establish positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
Provide administrative assistance to Shop team
Maintain invoices and stock numbers
 

Essential Functions & Major Accountabilities

Responsible for creating and updating work orders
Create and input stock numbers for all locations
Check and apply warranty payments to accounts, Product Improvement Programs (PIP’s)
Keep record of, distribute, and modify PIP list
OEM Warranty administrative responsibilities
Post checks and deposits on accounts
Track and bill fuel usage
Responsible for tracking service intervals for company vehicles
Responsible for tracking and billing equipment rentals
Promptly and accurately processes paperwork related to equipment sales
Demonstrate a high level of customer service in all client interactions
Address customer inquiries via phone and in person, always maintain a polite and professional demeanor


Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Accountabilities

Must be an analytical minded individual with attention to detail
Proficient in computer operations and navigation
Mechanical aptitude, including familiarity with diesel engines
Ability to multitask, support projects, and meet deadlines while keeping a solution focused mindset
Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion
Must be a positive minded individual with problem solving ability
Self-motivated individual, with the ability to work independently
Excellent professional communication and demeanor required


Education/Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through skills
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment, and be flexible/adaptable to change
Excellent computer skills essential for success in this role.  Must have advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products
