The core purpose of the IT Technician role is to be a primary contact for all technology requests. This position supports all types of customers and internal systems, primarily to users of servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This involves the maintenance of hardware and software. The person in this position will always acts to support Lawrence’s Core Values and highest level of customer support.

  

Common Tasks:

Serve as the first contact with customers who need technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
Work in a range of technologies across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests.
Maintain installed PCs, networks, VoIP telephony systems and peripherals
Install / setup new computers on the network and install necessary business specific applications
Identify, log, and resolve technical problems
Training end users to use new systems and programs
Document problems and solutions in the ticketing system
Assist in maintaining inventory of all company technology assets
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Accountabilities

Must be an analytical minded individual with attention to detail and ability to connect processes with results
Ability to support multiple concurrent projects, meet deadlines; solutions-oriented; ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion.
Ability to track, manage, and resolve issues, and escalate effectively as necessary
Demonstrated problem solving ability and confidence when making recommendations
Excellent professional communication and demeanor required
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through skills
Ability to learn and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment and be flexible/adaptable to change
Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Windows Networking required. 
Lifting up to 25 lbs.
