Position Summary

The Household Goods Fleet Manager works to assist our Lawrence Household Goods Operations. Primary areas of responsibility include:

Ensure driver efficiency through dispatch while assuring all customer expectations are met according to service agreements.
Coordinate the movement of drivers, trucks, household goods and freight in order to make pick-ups and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
Keeping records, monitoring driver daily logs for errors or violations and monitoring drivers' working hours and equipment availability.
Essential Functions & Major Accountabilities

Daily coordination and communication with assigned long distance drivers and move coordinators.
Works closely and assists household goods planners in resolving scheduling issues, while maintaining leading industry on time service performance.
Assists in the decision making of driver review and performance planning.
Resolve scheduling issues while maintaining and leading industry on-time service performance
Coordinate back haul planning for optimal driver utilization.
Assisting of contractors while tending to daily dispatching needs. These needs are including (but not limited to) the follow: Pickup & delivery confirmations, set up of shuttle trucks, loading driver advances onto Comdata cards, route planning, setting up of labor, order moving supplies, etc.
Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree is preferential.

Willingness to work, positive attitude, ability to work in a team environment.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment, and be flexible/adaptable to change.
Proven track record in leadership, service, attendance, and reliability.
Excellent computer skills essential for success in this role. Must have advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products.
